In the shadow of the Saint Laurentius church is a 19th-century edifice, known locally as the Beernaert House. This building was acquired by the Province of East-Flanders to house a museum connected with the archaeological park. It is located between Ename's two main squares, the Lijnwaadmarkt and the Enameplein.

The gates in the three sides of the museum's garden wall provide access to the other main heritage locales of the village: the Saint Laurentius church, the archaeological site, and the Bos t'Ename nature reserve.

In the museum garden is a group of bronze sculptures by Dirk De Middeleer, of Sint-Lievens-Esse.

The Ename Provincial Museum
The Ename Museum is located in the Beernaert House in the village center of Ename

The museum, which opened its doors to the public in September 1998, presents the daily life of the Ename community from the early Middle Ages to the present day. By presenting the past in a way that is understandable to both local and foreign visitors, the museum seeks to highlight both the universal values of the past and the unique character of Ename's own heritage. Visitors can learn about the various scientific methods employed in archaeological and historical research ("Archaeolab") and they can become involved in the process of unraveling the riddles of the past with the help of interactive presentation techniques such as the character-based "Feast of a Thousand Years" and the "TimeLine."

The museum also has an educational department for schools and family groups.
