Megiddo is located in the Jezreel Valley, in northern Israel. As a famous archaeological site with a long and complex history extending from the Neolithic Period (c. 7000 BCE) to the Babylonian-Persian Age (c. 500 BCE), Tel Megiddo offers visitors a wealth of impressive archaeological remains. According to the Book of Revelations, this spot, called "Armageddon" (derived from the Hebrew name "har Megiddo," the hill of Megiddo) would be the place of the Last Judgement. For this reason, an Armageddon Contemplation Cove has been established.

A new TimeScope system is currently being developed for the Tel Megiddo National Park. This new interpretive system will present computer reconstructions of the ancient city's northern Iron Age Palace, dated by some scholars to the time of King Solomon (c. 950 BCE), and of the stables of the later Israelite kings which were built on top of the ruins of this palace.
