| The "Bos
t'Ename" covers an area of about 185 hectares of which 60 hectares
are wooded. The non profit conservation organisation "De Wielewaal"
and the Flemish Community have purchased 35 hectares of this area,
to be maintained as a protected nature reserve. Access to this reserve
is restricted to about 40 guided tours each year. The tours follow
the path of a raised wooden walkway that protects the soil from disturbance
and offers access to the swampy regions of the wood. |

The King Baudouin Foundation funded this wooden walkway and fences
on parts of the trail that pass through the nature reserve.
